Bedside light should be all that competes for your attention at night, and this clock refuses to compete at all. This pedestal clock holds its dial at the top of a slim stem, raised to the level of your eyes when you are lying down, and still easy to read from across the room.

The hands move without a sound, so nothing in your bedroom ticks or glows while you sleep; you simply wake, glance, and know the hour.

  • Dial lifted on a slim stem, visible from your pillow
  • Legible from the far side of the room, not just up close
  • Nothing ticks, and no screen glows at night

It brings only the hour into an already quiet room, and leaves everything else alone.

Most bedside clocks are easy to overlook: small, plastic and lying face down by the second week. Nook™ is the opposite. A round metal head rises on a slim stem from a weighted disc base and stands 22 cm tall, so the dial meets your eye and not your mattress. You can read it from the doorway. The movement sweeps silently, so all it adds to a quiet room is a way to know the time without reaching for a screen that would keep you awake another forty minutes.

Lukautim

Wipe the painted metal with a soft, dry cloth; for marks use a barely damp cloth and dry it at once. Lift it by the head and not by the stem. Take out the battery if it will stand unused for months.

Sage Perch™ clock on a pale oak desk beside books and a fern

Tall enough to be noticed

At 22 cm it stands alongside the books and the fern and does not hide behind them: a quiet piece of sculpture that also keeps good time.

Hand lifting the cream Perch™ clock by its head on an oak shelf

Easy to pick up

It is solid metal but small enough to move with one hand: the desk in the morning, the nightstand in the evening, wherever you want the time at a glance.

Perch™ benefits: silent movement, solid metal, 22 cm tall

Why Perch

A silent metal clock raised on a slim stem, in sage or cream: readable from across the room and quiet enough to forget.

I can read it without my glasses

That's the whole reason I bought it and it delivered. The dial sits up at eye height on the nightstand, so a squint from the pillow is enough. Sage is a lovely soft colour.

Heavier than expected, in a good way

The base has real weight to it so the tall stem never wobbles, even when I knock the desk. Feels like proper metal, not a painted shell.

Silent enough for a light sleeper

I hear everything at night and this makes no sound at all. Bought the cream one for the guest room and my sister asked where it was from before she'd unpacked.

How tall is it in practice?
About 22 cm from the base to the top of the head, roughly the height of a wine bottle, with a dial about 9 cm across. The height is the point: it stands clear of books and lamps so that the time stays visible.
Em i save mekim nois tik-tik?
No. The movement sweeps continuously and does not step, so no tick can be heard even in a silent bedroom.
Is it steady on a narrow nightstand?
Yes. The disc base is weighted and only about 9 cm across, so it holds the stem steady and takes up less room than a coffee cup.
Wanem samting i givim pawa long en?
A battery, which is not included. There is no cable and no charging, and it keeps time through a power cut. Nothing on your nightstand needs a socket.
Sage or cream?
Sage is the softer, greener choice and sits well against oak and clay. Cream blends into pale plaster walls and lets the outline stand out. Both have the same white dial.
Bedroom or desk?
Both, and it moves easily from one to the other. On a desk the raised dial sits above an open laptop, and on a nightstand it replaces the phone you would otherwise reach for at 3 a.m.
